E&E Dance Collective

Performance · Community · Character

E&E Dance Collective is our non-competitive performance company for dancers ages 6 and up who want more than their regular dance class and spring recital.

Mission

To give dancers opportunities to develop confidence, understand commitment, and grow in character through performances, community service, and out-of-studio classes and experiences.

Goal

To produce polished performers who are respectful, kind, and understand the importance of working as a team.

Philosophy

Dance is an all-inclusive art. Dancers of all backgrounds and abilities are welcome — never judged on technique, always encouraged to grow.

Character Development

Connection, Leadership & Service

Each Collective dancer participates in at least one community service project per semester, giving back and connecting with the community.

Spotlights pair each dancer with another Collective dancer for the season. Partners work together in character-building activities and performances, offering support and encouragement.

Dancers ages 10 and up can apply to be student teachers, assisting a lead teacher in weekly classes. Dancers in sixth grade and up can apply to participate in the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA).

Performance Trips

Disneyland Parade Opportunity

Collective dancers have the opportunity to perform in a Disneyland parade every two years. Our next trip is the Disneyland Christmas Parade in 2028!

Requirements & Expectations

What Collective dancers commit to

Required training
  • Ages 6–9: one weekly combo class
  • Ages 10 and up: one weekly ballet class and one weekly jazz class
  • One weekly Collective class on Wednesdays
  • One convention per season, with additional conventions available
  • One summer class
  • At least one community service project per semester
Attendance

Collective dancers are expected to have outstanding attendance in all classes. Missed classes require a make-up class, except when the absence is for another arts-based performance.

Dress code

Wear appropriate dancewear and dance shoes to all classes, with hair in a bun or braid.

Performances

Collective dancers participate in 4–5 performances throughout the season. Opportunities may include community performances, parades, care centers, showcases, and other local events.

Some performances include only selected routines. For example, the oldest dancers perform in a ballet production at a local church during the holiday season.

Placement auditions

Collective placement auditions are all-accepting. Dancers are not judged for acceptance; auditions help place them in groups that give them the best opportunity to succeed.

Contact the Collective Director for the next placement audition details.

Performance trips

Collective offers out-of-state performance trip opportunities in cities such as Anaheim, Orlando, Nashville, and New York City. Contact the Collective Director for current trip information.
